Can the Scoular Ballroom accommodate wedding ceremonies?

Yes! We can accommodate wedding ceremonies in our main ballroom. The ballroom must be rented in order to host a ceremony. An additional fee allows for early access for photos. Please note that we no longer do complete room transitions.

Does the Scoular Ballroom allow renters to bring in their own food and alcohol?

All food and beverages, outside of cakes, cupcakes, cookies, desserts, popcorn, mints, and nuts, must come from Scoular Ballroom’s approved caterers. Desserts and snacks must be pre-packaged or come from a licensed bakery.

Is parking available

Off-street parking stalls are available for you and your guests at no additional cost. For out-of-town guests, most hotels within a three mile radius of the Scoular Ballroom offer a complimentary shuttle service to and from the Scoular Ballroom.

Is security provided?

Yes. A security guard is provided and will be on-site two hours prior to your scheduled event and will remain throughout the duration of your event until the last guest and vendor have vacated the premise.

When do vendors and renters have access for set-up?

Depending on the ballroom’s schedule, you and your vendors may be granted access to the ballroom the day before your event for set-up and deliveries. If this is not possible, we will work with you to accommodate vendor deliveries. Renters are granted weekend access through the atrium entrance during select hours. These hours will be communicated with you by the Ballroom Event Specialist.

Does the Scoular Ballroom offer any off-season rates?

During the months of November, January, February, and March renters receive $500 off the ballroom rental rate. Certain blackout dates apply. Please contact Scoular Ballroom’s Event Specialist to find out more information.

How far in advance should I book the Scoular Ballroom?

All events must be booked (contract signed and deposit paid) at least one month prior to the scheduled event date. We encourage renters to plan ahead, as Saturdays are at a premium.

Does the Scoular Ballroom require that we purchase event insurance?

Renters are required to obtain a Certificate of Insurance (COI) from their homeowners or renters insurance at least 30 days prior to the event. Please contact Scoular Ballroom’s Event Specialist for more information.

How do I reserve a date?

In order to reserve your date, you must meet with Scoular Ballroom’s Event Specialist to sign a contract and pay half of the rental fee. The Scoular Ballroom only accepts checks and/or money orders at this time.
